My favorite bookshop! The owner is amazing and always remembers my name. Such a friendly store. I also appreciate the many things this store does to support the community and causes. Definitely sign up for their emails so you can stay up to date with all they do! Great selection of really cool books that is always changing. I love shopping here because it’s a store I feel good about supporting and I love the books. My dog likes it here too :)

One of my favorite bookstores! The location is ideal and the setup inside is wonderful. Easy to navigate and browse. Great selection of books, including local indie authors.

Prologue Bookshop in the Short North Arts District of Columbus, Ohio is one of my favorite independent bookstores in the city. It’s a beautifully curated local bookshop with a thoughtful selection of new releases, literary fiction, nonfiction, and staff picks. I actually prefer it over larger bookstores like The Book Loft. While The Book Loft is a destination in itself, Prologue’s edited, well-chosen selection feels much more manageable and less overwhelming, which makes browsing such a joy. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help you find your next great read. They host select author events and book clubs throughout the year, and they’re moving just a bit farther south on High Street soon, which is exciting to see as they continue to grow. If you’re looking for a cozy, curated indie bookstore in the Short North or Columbus area, Prologue Bookshop is absolutely worth visiting.

I'm obsessed with Prologue. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, they remember me and greet me by name. Huge variety of books for such a small space, but if they don't have what you're looking for, they'll order it in for you, and call you when it's ready to be picked up. They host events and signings, and have a great rewards program. Fantastic local bookstore 🙌🏻

Impressive selection of new titles, including titles by more boutique publishers such as Persephone Books. Very much appreciate the staff recommendations scattered throughout the store to help introduce customers to new works. Despite being at the store during a (busy!) Indie Bookstore Crawl day it did not feel cramped thanks to the high ceiling, wide windows, and thoughtful layout. Again, very impressed with the selection of titles available.

My favorite bookstore in Columbus! Very friendly staff, well stocked books, and I absolutely love how many small press books are represented. The new location, too, is fantastic. It feels more open but still cozy. I always spend a large amount of time inside and always walk away with a couple of books.

Very nice two-story bookstore! Everything was very clean and well organized with a comfy reading area and additional books upstairs. There was a discount book section on the second floor as well. Try your hand at their short story vending machine for a fun surprise. I especially enjoyed that they had manga and art books of all kinds. We will be back!
